Rebutia muscula is one of the various regional variations of Rebutia fiebrigii.

Rebutia Muscula grows as a low cushion with thick fuzzy white spines and produces a vivid orange-red bloom. The thick spines would shield it from the extremes of cold and sunlight.

It is a little solitary or mound-forming cactus that grows to a height of 6 cm. It grows close to the ground and barely offsets with age. They appear to grow bigger and cluster more aggressively under cultivation than in the wild.
